Final Teaching Project (Rubric-Based Evaluation):

Choose one of the options below.

  • Option 1: In small groups, create a customized lesson and share it with the class. Include learning objectives, music standards and technology standards that will be addressed.
  • Option 2: Teach a lesson or a portion of a lesson from the Quaver Curriculum or Song-Based Lessons. Include learning objectives, music standards and technology standards that will be addressed.
  • Option 3: Submit a video of yourself teaching a lesson or schedule a time with the professor to run through and discuss your lesson. Include learning objectives, music standards and technology standards that will be addressed.

Final Written Project:

Choose one of the options below.

  • Option 1: Write an essay on how technology is changing the music education classroom. Include your personal statement/teaching philosophy about the use of technology in the music education classroom. Explain the advantages and challenges of integrating new technological tools and digital resources like Quaver’s K-8 General Music Curriculum.
  • Option 2: Write a document that lists and describes technology you would like to have in your future classroom. Create 3 teaching activities using Quaver and your technology wish list. Be specific with what Quaver lessons/resources you will be using, how you will be using the technology, and the procedure for each activity.
